Some days you just realise those "small" things in life really dont matter - no matter how much we want them to or make them out to. its only when you are smacked in the face by real tragedy that your sense of perspective is re- adjusted.
May whatever divine force is looking down - protect the volunteer firefighters, and the communities they seek to protect, from the ultimate sacrifice.

I've been watching the news and reading about the fires today. I've been thinking of you, your family and friends. I'm hoping that you all are safe. I just can't imagine the horrific impact this will have on your country and her people.
